Schloss Reinhartshausen Erbacher Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese 2005: Wine Review
Schloss Reinhartshausen Erbacher Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese 2005 really impressed me. If you can get past the long, hard-to-pronounce German description, I recommend stopping by to get this bottle from the LCBO before they run out of this vintage.
Type: White
Vintage: 2005
Origin: Rheingau, Germany
Winery: Schloss Reinhartshausen
Variety: Riesling
Vineyard: Erbacher Schlossberg
Size: 750 mL bottle
Alcohol: 11.0%
My Score: 90/100
This Riesling has a perfect balance of flavours. It is slightly acidic and refreshing, but also has a citrus/orange like sweetness balanced with a tangy aftertaste left on your palate. Well-balanced with great acid.
I just bought my sister a bottle of this for her birthday and I'm really looking forward to enjoying a glass this weekend.
